ANOTHER RACE SEASON STARTS IN THE SOUTH AFRICAN SUNSHINE.

LIVESTREAM was once again up and running and I logged on bright and early from the Hilton Hotel in Blackpool at 06.30 GMT (08.30 SA) time, to see the pigeons were liberated at 06.00 cleared well and headed for home. Strong head winds were forecast for the whole race route. Down for breakfast, then off to the Blackpool Show to watch the pigeon arrive on my iPad. I thought it would take the winner about five and a half hours. I really did not have to wait that long because at 09.26 GMT (11.26 SA) all of a sudden I saw a small gang of 5 pigeons swing round the loft and hit the landing area, smartly followed by another small gang of about 10 pigeons, followed a short gap then 3 single pigeons, then a gang of 10 and another of 8. The result immediately came up on the iPad screen and I saw that 1st OPEN went to a fancier in KUWAIT. Within eleven minutes of the winner being clocked over 50 pigeons had been officially recorded. As the pigeons arrived and hit the landing platform they looked in super condition after this very tough fly. If you have never logged on to watch the pigeons arrive, I strongly suggest you give it a try, you will just love the experience.   https://youtu.be/3jkFs_6igx4   HOT SPOT CAR RACE 5 was held on Saturday 21st January 2017 from 335km (208 miles) and for this race a total of 2,802 pigeons from 35 different countries were basketed and this included 2,597 International pigeons and 205 pigeons from South Africa and this figure also included 221 from the United Kingdom and 34 pigeons from Ireland. There were also 26 pigeons that were not basketed because they were left in the Hold Back section because they had made earlier mistakes and were not fit to be entered, this total included 2 from the United Kingdom and none from Ireland. So the total in the loft was 2,826 pigeons. The convoy were liberated at 06.00 in fine and clear conditions with a very strong head wind on route and a temperature of 14c (56f). The convoyer reported the pigeons cleared well and headed directly for home. A good race was anticipated, although they knew it would be a tough race. As the day progressed the temperature would steadily rise into the high 90’s but rain and thunderstorms were anticipated to arrive later in the day. CONGRATULATIONS on winning 1st OPEN goes to the SAAD R ALABHOUL from KUWAIT with pigeon named SALMIAH ALABHOUL bred by SAAD R ALABHOUL, which was officially clocked at 11.26.15.54 to record a winning velocity of 1,123ypm (17.1132 m/s) (38 mph), this pigeon has 4 times nighted out including the previous race. 2nd Quest Any Given Day from United States Of America, 3rd Wolfgand & Andrea Miks from Austria, 4th Piet Manders from Belgium, 5th Ken Easley – Silvercreek from United States Of America, 6th Me Fui + Gallo Loft from United States Of America, with pigeon that won 1st OPEN in HSCR3 and the Car, plus it also wins 1st Ace Pigeon Hot Spot Averages, 7th Stanley Meyer from United States Of America, 8th Ado Family Loft from United States Of America, 9th Club Benoni Homing Society from South Africa, 10th Triple J Lofts from South Africa, 11th Wilfon – Rhodes from United States Of America, 12th Ali Alashkanani from Kuwait, 13th Irish Syndicate from United States Of America, 14th Helmut & Alfons Klaas from Germany, 15th Van Kerckhove – Vercauteren from Belgium, this pigeons has won numerous top positions during the race series and was one of my predictions to do well in the Final Race, 16th Team Schilling – Klusak from Germany, 17th Dirk Vandenberghe from Belgium, 18th Steve Sterchi from United States Of America, 19th A Khan & Crain from United States Of America and 20th Klaus Stieneker from Germany. If there are no details besides your winning pigeon/s then please contact me on reglofts@aol.com with your details and I will include these in my later International Press Reports. I personally do my best to give all the fanciers, entrants and breeders all the credit they and their pigeons deserve when they manage to get in the results so your help in this matter will be greatly appreciated. For the first few races numerous pigeons will not trap, so do not worry if yours is clocked late. The main thing to consider over the first few shorter races is that all the pigeons will not trap quickly but if they have made it back to the race loft on Heron Banks Golf & River Estate they are there to fight another day. With each race the pigeons will learn a bit more, giving them more experience to tackle all the tasks that they are going to have in front of them during the testing 2016/17 training and race series. GOOD LUCK TO ALL CONCERNED AND REGULAR “INTERNATIONAL PRESS RELEASES”, “NEWSLETTERS” AND “UPDATES” WILL BE SENT OUT TO ALL COMPETITORS/ENTRANTS AND SYNDICATE SHAREHOLDERS ON A WEEKLY BASIS BY EMAIL OVER THE NEXT FEW MONTHS.
